Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly seeking a way out of Manchester United by offering himself to Paris Saint-Germain.

Earlier this month, the Portuguese icon requested to leave the Red Devils due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League and hesitancy in the transfer market.

The news of his possible exit has sparked interest from a number of clubs, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich. In order to seal Ronaldo's departure, his agent Jorge Mendes has been hard at work - even talking to the new owner of the Blues, Todd Boehly.

Now, reports in France suggest that Paris Saint-Germain have also been offered the chance to sign the striker. Mendes has contacted PSG owners Nasser Al-Khela*fi and Luis Campos regarding a potential deal, according to Le Parisien.

However, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have decided not to pursue the 37-year-old as they do not currently have space at the Parc des Princes for him. Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, the Portuguese duo the club signed this summer, already give the club a wealth of forward options.

As part of their summer budget, they also renewed the contract of star forward Kylian Mbappe - the Frenchman had rejected a Real Madrid move.

Cristiano Ronaldo will still play for Manchester United next season, right? Comment below with your thoughts.

Ronaldo could potentially play alongside Lionel Messi for the first time if they change their minds on a move for him. Their goal-scoring rivalry was thrilling during their times with Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively - and both are noted as two of the greatest players ever.

Even before the end of his career, Messi has expressed a desire to play alongside the Portuguese forward. In 2015, he replied, "I would love to play with Ronaldo one day.". It's always nice to play with the best, and he's one of them.

We will probably have difficulty playing together, but I would love to be in the same team. As a player, I have had the privilege of playing and participating with many very good players, and I would also like to do the same with him."
